Hollywood Helps Alabama Tornado Relief (@HHAlabamaTR) LIVE 4hr Webcast
by Melanie Marquez on 5/16/2011Hollywood, CA (May 16, 2011) - Alabama was devastated with tornadoes on April 27, 2011, the deadliest "tornado day" in the United States since 1925. The storm footage in Tuscaloosa had people glued to their TVs, but so many areas around the state were hit almost as hard and are still in shambles. As the weeks have passed, total destruction of entire neighborhoods is still visible. Market shelves have been bare and many across the state are still without power. In order to raise money and awareness to the needs of the people who have survived this catastrophic event, John Paul Mitchell Systems and NewTek, Inc. have teamed up with the American Red Cross to present a LIVE webcast fundraiser on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at ACME Comedy Hollywood with proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Paul Mitchell Schools Donate $106,250 to No Limits
by Paul Mitchell Schools on 5/13/2011At their biannual owners Summit on May 1, 2011, in Newport Beach, CA, the nationwide network of Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools raised $106,250 for No Limits, the country's only theater group for deaf and hard-of-hearing children. They raised the money in one day, through a silent auction in which numerous school owners and educators donated a day (or more) of education, and renowned artist Vladimir Prodanovich donated a painting valued at over $7,000.
